Atheïsme is een mooi lied

Op ons verzoek zong Anne Fleur Kan, artiestennaam One Trick Pony, dit lied tijdens de finale van de spreekwedstrijd ‘Alle kunst is heilig’ in Paradiso op 15 juni 2014. Een lied dat je kunst kunt noemen, van een net aan het conservatorium afgestudeerde jonge vrouw. Een lied dat beelden schetst en waarschijnlijk veel verder gaat dan een preek.

Een lied dat paste bij het thema en een lied dat ook bij Vrijzinnigen Nederland onze vereniging de juiste vragen stelt. Hieronder volgt de tekst voor wie de woorden niet goed kon verstaan op het filmpje op onze website www.vrijzinnigen.nl.

ATHEISM

I’m hurt and disappointed, it feels like Judas’ kiss.

As punishment I gave you Hitler and Justin Bieber too
but some of you even liked them, so what am I to do?
Should I turn all the wine into water,
should I trade all cows for the what
should I make everyone remember, what they once forgot?”

“And why do you follow, the book and not your heart?
Why do you murder and give my name to the war?
Maybe you believe, still, but I have lost my faith.
Not only in myself, but in the whole human race.”
